“Blackout” by Wretch 32 featuring Shakka

This song first captured me a couple of weeks ago and the music video has further fueled the infatuation. I love a song of contrasts and this one has many. In particular, I like the summery brightness of the production (that beat, that melody) matched with the lyrics. It’s so smart and addictive.

I sent this track to my sister. We have SUCH different tastes in music (except for pop music. We love the exact same artists, probably because our love of music began around the same age and started with pop.). She loved this as well. Not sure what that means. Perhaps that it can translate to a variety of different audiences. Really great songs usually do.
